An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) is an aircraft without a human pilot on board and a type of unmanned vehicle. UAVs include a ground-based controller, and a system of communications between the two. The flight of UAVs may operate with various degrees of autonomy: either under remote control by a human operator, autonomously by onboard computers or piloted by an autonomous robot.

Maveric pricing was wholly dependent on configuration, and an advanced military system configuration cost between $100,000 and $200,000.

The MMIST CQ-10A SnowGoose is a cargo delivery unmanned aerial vehicle that has reached IOC (Initial Operational Capability) with the United States Armed Forces with the delivery of 15 vehicles. It is produced by the Canadian company Mist Mobility Integrated Systems Technology (MMIST). The SnowGoose UAV is an application of MMIST's Sherpa autonomous GPS-guided parafoil delivery system and is intended for pin-point delivery of small cargo items (ammunition, supplies) to special forces. A fully loaded Snowgoose can carry a total of 272 kg (600 lb).

The Boeing Insitu ScanEagle is a small, long-endurance, low-altitude unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) built by Insitu, a subsidiary of Boeing, and is used for reconnaissance.[2][3] The ScanEagle was designed by Insitu based on the Insitu SeaScan, a commercial UAV that was intended for fish-spotting. The ScanEagle continues to receive improvements through upgrades and changes.
